NON scrappy related post coming up..
so my original thought was to make this a venting post..coz i really was.. not annoyed, not frustrated, not angry but lost.. i think  lost is maybe the best words to use.. so instead i turned to Pinterest to find a quote to sum up how i was feeling and then.. WHAM bam thank you Ma'am.. it hit me ... this.. quote.....

 

and well YES...so the joys... well for one.. coming home tonight i had to drive lj and for some reason she knows exactly what to do or say or just be to make me laugh an laugh... and it kinda fixed everything.. so for tonight i'm going to sign off thinking of laughter.. and the amazing power to fix everything...

well first up HOLY CRAP..
it has been honestly forever since i was here.. and yes that means was at yours as well.....
i have been doing some creative play and have been posting them in Scrapmatts, Show Us Your Stuff, Lil Red Rocket and Rainbow splendour however i for some stupidly strange reason i havent been getting in here.. there has been so much happening lately.. some of them scrappy some of them kids and some of them messing with my head...
but hey .. its life isnt it...

the good the bad and the ugly.......
i feel as if i have most definitely been experiencing all of them ...

sick kids... sick me... sick kids.. moody kids... end of term kids... sick kids... holidays...
through into the mix me getting out a bit more..and YEP i've gone to the dark side and entered the world of online dating.... and YEP its been a mixed  bag... and YEP i am being picky.. have met a couple of guys... have NOT seen a couple of guys again..have apparently made a good well super fantastic impression of one guy and now he wont leave me alone.. yep i know the stalker is being stalked..luckily in a non threatening way..but in a HOLY CRAP how many times do i have to say i'm not interested kind of way...... lol.. and then i met someone.. everything was going well for a month or so..and then it turned out he was a complete waste of time.. what a moron.. and no i'm not being nice..... so then.... i thought hey.. i'm going to talk to the ones who want to talk to me.. and see where it goes.. go in with no expectations.. so ..... we will see what happens.. no doubt i'll be back with an update..... or ten.. there has surely got to be some half decent men out there..... please.... {well fingers crossed... but i'm going to have some fun}.... lol.

and then the scrapping..
whilst as previously mentioned i HUMBLY and most definitely SINCERELY apologize for my lack of responsibity to those who have invested in me.. i am now going to pull my finger out..well as soon as school goes back.. my kid free days are going to get back on track and be my making days.. coz i honestly do miss them.....

 so there you have it.. i'm going to be back with bells on.. so watch out.. LOL>. i am even going to start pulling my finger out and taking photos with my camera not just my phone.. hehehe.. i've missed a few months of my kids so i owe them that.......

Show Us Your Stuff and 123.....

hi .. i have a couple today... first up..... is the 123 Challenge.....
and the brief....
Word = MY
Colour = PURPLE
Technique = CHEVRON
and here is  my take on the challenge.. {please excuse dodgy pic.. horrible weather.. i'm sure you understand}
"My Child"

love these photos.. YUP from my phone... Ivy being well IVY..... playing in paint and just being crazy.. and YEP i do think she gets some of that from me.. {poor child}

 i had to search my stash for purple..and i have only 1 sheet of purple pp and alas it just wasnt going to work..so instead i created my background with Texture paste and my Chevron  Crafters Workshop Template.... and then just added some purple embellies.. like the Leeann Pearce Bird pin....

 and some Rainbow Splendour pinwheel and felt die square... {i glimmermisted it purple ... } and added a Lil Red Rocket button to the pinwheel for more PURPLE....

and a closie of the photos.. see told you she is crazy...

and then its that time for a new example from SHOW US YOUR STUFF.. 

now you may or may not know that we are only doing one challenge per month now so this one

has been going for a little while..but us DT peeps are staggering the examples just to keep your 

brain working.....

"Time To Learn Letters"

 whoops.. just realized its another Ivy pic.. but oh well.. promise my next one may or may not be IVY..lol.
i really kind of like how this turned out..even with a gazillion {or what feels like a gazillion} flowers ......

 see the background.... i love creating this type of stuff.. so MUCH fun.. oh and also some watercolour paints .. lovin them as well.....

 and a cluster of... well.. stuff... some D-Lish flowers, a Manor House HUGE flower.. and of course some Scrapmatts Leaves and clock and Lil Red ROcket. buttons and cute little girl spot....

 and then some more funky clusters... Rainbow Splendour  flower pin and a pinwheel.. and scrapmatts leaves and of course the button and felt flower from lil red rocket...

 and lastly the photo... taken while watching Ivy practice writing her letters... she is getting there... and loves to learn so that i think is a blessing.. anyho.. dont forget to head on over to Show Us Your Stuff and have a go.....

a day of Littles.....

hello world..

its my ScrapMatts day.. 

and the theme this month is all about the little things.. ATC, Card and Tags..

well I Tried.... but first up i'll share a couple of layouts that i have been playing with.

first up.

"He Loves Me"

i LOVE love using these photos from my phone..and here i've printed them smaller and in a line for some funky effect.. love it.... {thank you photo of the month for letting me take more photos..granted from my phone.. but i'm loving it....}  and now for some closies...

the photos.. and a Lil Red Rocket BUTTON and HEART.. how fun are they.. and to boy it up..a gear from scrapmatts.. woot woot...

and then to add something to the top of the pp Matte i've used a heap of cb 1078 Gears simply coloured black and lined up.. looks cool i'm lovin it..... 

and den..

for something a heap different.. i started this background.. hated it..and put it in the i'll get back to that one pile...anyho Tracey had seen it started and when she slept over the other night asked about it..so bugger it i thought and i pulled it out and started stapling randoms to it.. "What photo are you using??" she asked.. i replied "I have NO idea".. which isnt a new thing for me... i often start something with no idea which photo i will put on it in the end..but i'm glad i did keep going coz its so grundgy and funky...

"I'm Me"

so there you have it a little random.. which is spot on really... oh and guess what... i used a grand total of....
30 staples on that layout. i was proud of that... LOL....

i added ONE of my favourite sayings.. JUST GOTTA LAUGH.. coz seriously if you dont what is the point really....

yup some random punchings from my new Martha Stewart punch...and then the Chevron button and purple heart from Lil Red Rocket........

and not forgetting the ScrapMatts.. well a scrapmatt.. the cb 6037 Dress Form.. i got it in black when i ordered it so all i had to do was tie some twine around her..and of course staple her on.. LOL....

ANYHO.. i should now show my LITTLES..... 

a set of ATC's.. yep i hardly do these... so small...!!!

"Inspire, Dream, Love"

i used.... ATC 10-006 as the bases for all these cards..they are so tiny.. added some texture paste....and then went with the flow.. i knew i wanted to use these words..but again that was all.. so out came the most awesome box of ScrapMatts chippies..and off i went......
"Inspire"

 so i used...cb 6037 dress forms {yup the same as on the layout above}, cb 1078 Gears, cb 1134 assorted words AND i {OH my goodness you didnt} cut up a cb5096 Layered frame and used it on the three cards for a bit of continuity..... happy times...

"Dream"

 

again.. the same words and frame.. but added cb 1017 keys and cb1084 key holes.....

"Love"

again same as before.. same words and frame.. just added.... cb 1158 butterlies and mc 1028 bird cages....
so that is that set of cards.. and then i thought i'd have a play and create just a card.. not for anyone..but as a stand alone thing.. i might frame it.. yes FRAME it {alahhh Mr Maker...hehehe}

"An Angel"

so what you think.. frame it...........

for this one i used... cb 5038 Leaf Spray and cb 1158 butterflies......

and also some cb 1120 wings.. well an angel isnt an angel with out wings now is she... just covered the bottom wing layer with some glitter.. well three different colours of glitter actually..LOL and away i went.. i really really LOVE her... anyho.

my IDOL.. Louise Nelson

it all started..well i dont really know when..but the amazing and superbly beautiful LOUISE NELSON is my all time most favourite artist... she is just so humble and so unique and beautiful..and the best part is that she is so willing to share her awesomeness.. so this year i again {stalker much} took her class at the expo...

and it was technique based.. which is perfect.... i dont want to be Louise Nelson coz well there is only one of her but i love her techniques..so this one was perfect..

since doing her class i've been playing with backgrounds....

"Mix"

using some techniques and then some of me..and YES i gots a couple new stencils... lol..

 the photos.. and the ScrapMatts Chippy cupcake....
